Truly.am introduces itself as "Short URL service, aweseme catchy names - 100% free", I have no doubt about that illustration, but it's really tricky, this service is not a URL Shorten service, it's a low-fi version of linkbucks.

Not like TinyURL or other URL shorten services, Truly.am allows you to set what short link path you like to convert to, so you can have your link like this, or even like this, some sort of idea like DecentURL, but not unique in the service system. When you click the link, it indeed takes you to the actual website besides the site is loaded in a frame beneath a top frame which loads their own Google AdSense, this is really one type of linkbucks way, except linkbucks announcing themself "Make money when people leave your website" aside Truly.am making this "Make us money......".

Besides all these, Truly.am allow users to register to manage their links, that's a visual way other than the intermediate transit modal of the TinyURLs.

Anyway, an option is always welcome Smile
